Conditions of Sale
The Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival Committee reserves the right to refuse admission and to alter the programme without prior notice.
We believe that everyone belongs at The Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival and should be treated with equal respect. The Committee reserves the right to refuse admission or eject from any of the festival venues any person who is treating our staff, other visitors, or the venue in a way we feel is unacceptable. This includes using discriminatory language, hate speech, or aggression.
Refunds, Transfers and Cancellations
IMPORTANT!
Tickets and booking fees are non-refundable under any circumstances. However, if an event becomes sold out and people have joined the waiting list on TicketTailor, then we may consider refunds on a case-by-case basis. TicketTailor refunds are issued at the discretion of the event organiser, not Ticket Tailor. As a buyer, you will need to contact us directly through your confirmation email.
TRANSFERS: If you wish or need to sell your ticket to someone else then we will ONLY accept ticket exchanges that have been issued and administered by The Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival team. If you have bought a ticket from someone via another platform (eg. Facebook/Ebay) and the QR code or ticket code on the ticket doesn’t match the tickets on our system, you’ll be refused entry and no refunds will be given. If you cannot attend, and are unable to sell or pass your ticket on to someone else, we cannot roll these over, or refund them.
IMPORTANT!
Tickets are non-refundable, even in the unlikely event of the festival being postponed (in its entirety) by the Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival Committee. Cancellation by a billed artist will not entitle you to a refund, regardless of their position on the bill. If the event is postponed and moved to another date, your tickets will be valid for the new date and refunds will not be given. If you are not able to make the new festival date, your tickets will be rolled over to the following year, again no refunds will be given. Bookings fees are never refundable.
Festival Entry
Only customers holding a valid e-Ticket will be admitted to the Event.
Tickets are uniquely named, bar-coded and allow one person entry. It is your responsibility to arrive at the festival site with a valid, e-ticket, and you MUST present additional ID to confirm it is your ticket. Valid ID = Bank card/Drivers’ License/Utility Bill. We will do everything in our power to ensure that only the named ticket holder in each instance gains access to the site, but cannot be held responsible for lost or stolen tickets or ID’s.
On arrival at the Festival site, your unique ticket barcode will be scanned, and you will be given a festival wristband, which must be worn at all times through the duration of the event. You will be asked to show this to gain admission to the Western Gardens festival site, and ticketed events happening at Royal Esplanade Hotel.
Anyone who is unable to present a valid wristband on request from any of the The Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival team or Security staff will be asked to leave site, so please keep your wristband safe.
Saturday & Sunday daytime tickets will be given coloured wristbands that permit entry to the Western Gardens site for THAT DAY ONLY.
Children & Young Persons
Children & Teens are very welcome at The Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival but remain the responsibility of their parents/guardians at all times. All attendees under the age of 18 (whether Infant, Child or Teen tickets) MUST be accompanied ON ENTRY by a paying adult over 21 years of age, and this adult’s contact details will be written on the Child/Under 18’s wristband. No accompanying 21+ adult? No entry. If any young adults are found to be acting unruly, and without a parent or guardian they will be ejected from site and their wristbands removed. The parent or guardian will also be ejected from site and wristbands removed. Tickets will not be refunded.
We will admit a maximum of 2 teens per adult admitted.
It is your responsibility to ascertain the suitability of the event for any children in your party, considering such factors as curfew times, appropriateness of music, size of event etc.
You must be with your teen to collect both yours, and their wristband at the Information Tent in Western Gardens. We will not issue wristbands to any teen not accompanied by an adult aged 21+. Proof of connection to the young person will be required on entry.
Teens, aged 13-17 years old, must be accompanied by an adult over the age of 21 throughout the weekend. This includes entry into the Western Gardens festival site.
Buy purchasing their tickets you are accepting that you will be wholly responsible for the teen/s you are have purchased the tickets for.
Dogs & Other Animals
Dogs are allowed into the Western Gardens festival site, but the Committee requires dogs to be on short leads and under control, with waste removed immediately.
We love all animals, but other animals will be considered on a case-by-case basis.
Alcohol
A fully licensed bar or bars will be situtated at the Western Gardens festival site. The operator(s) of such bars are independant of The Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival Committee, and will operate a Challenge 25 policy, and you will be asked to provide ID even if you are over 18.
NO ALCOHOL purchased off the premises can be brought into the Western Gardens festival site under any circumstances, and the staff reserve the right to ask you to leave or to confiscate and destroy and alcohol being drunk on the main site that was not bought here.
Food
There will be some food stalls at the Western Gardens festival site, serving a variety of meals and snacks throughout the day. We ask that you support those vendors, or purchase food from outlets in town, rather than bring your own food.
Royal Esplanade Hotel will be service basket meals on Friday night. Please do not bring your own food into the hotel.
Force Majeure
In the unlikely event that The Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival is postponed due to force majeure (unforeseeable circumstances that prevent someone from fulfilling a contract), tickets will be automatically be moved across to the postponed dates. This may be the following year. There is nothing you will have to do, the team will take care of this for you. You are also more than welcome to sell your tickets on as tickets and booking fees are non-refundable.

Photography & Videography
We have a team of photographers / videographers who have access to all areas of the festival site for the full duration of the festival. The content captured will be used to promote any of our events across social media, print media, marketing, press and online websites. If you do not wish to be captured at any of our events, please let a team member know.
You are welcome to take photographs and videos, but it is polite to ask people for permission if you do not know them.
Conditions of Entry
We and/or any Authorised Person may refuse admission to or eject from the Venue(s) and/or the Western Gardens festival site without refund or compensation any Ticket Holder(s) who:
(a) is noticeably under the influence of alcohol, narcotics or any behaviour-modifying substance, or is behaving, or considered by any Authorised Person likely to behave, violently, harmfully or in a manner contrary to public order and/or safety;
(b) brings or attempts to bring into the Western Gardens festival site, or venue(s), any food; any beverages. Exemptions will be made on medical grounds if supporting medical evidence is provided;
(c) brings or attempts to bring into the Venue(s) or Western Gardens festival site, sells, possesses or uses within the Venue(s) or Western Gardens festival site or in the vicinity thereof any sponsorship, promotional or commercial items or materials (of whatever nature) without our prior written authorisation (and the Ticket Holder may be asked to deliver up a copy of any such authorisation upon entry to or whilst within the Venue).
Safety for All
The Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival is all about good music, great vibes and the coming together of people to enjoy a rich, cultural event. Anti-social behaviour and activities, including any behaviour which the festival staff and stewards feel may significantly affect the enjoyment of other persons at the event, will not be tolerated and you will be ejected without refund, regardless of age.
