Hear ye! Hear ye! Meet William Nixon - the Isle of Wight's only official town crier.
Will Nixon, has taken up the role of the Isle of Wight Steampunk Festival's Town Crier.
Will was in the Royal Navy and always wanted to be a drill instructor. Locals of Ventnor, where Will is the Honorary Town Crier, will agree his lungs are certainly up for the job, with Will a keen am-dram celebrity. When colourful people do colourful things, it's a good thing, and Will is certainly colourful, dressed in Highland tartan from his family's ancestral clan.
See Will around town on Saturday as he announces various events and attractions.
Come and meet your favourite ‘flying-mobile’ AUTOMOBILE.
Chitty was built here on the Isle of Wight, and has travelled around the world, even as far as Australia!

Our steampunk festival is delighted to have these old vintage vehicles with us on this day.
